Spotlight on Joleene Naylor

Author of Amaranthine Nights

Kudos to Joleene Naylor.  She's Done it Again

Joleene Naylor, I award you my PAWS for Success Spotlight Award.

Joleene is the author of Amaranthine Night series.  The genre is paranormal, emphasis on vampires, but it is much more than that.  These series of books is jam packed action, adventure, thriller, mystery, romance, erotica, paranormal, horror writings, and tinged with humor.  Did I leave anything out, Joleene?

Joleene is an Indie (self-published) author.  Looking into my crystal ball, I see nothing but great success ahead for her.

Yes, I've mentioned her before, even stating she is the best author of this year.  Sadly, I was wrong.  Crystal ball gazing is not an exact science, you know.  After finishing Book Four, 'Ashes of Deceit,' I declare this mystical writer as THE writer of the century.  Never have I been so impressed with an author's storyline and characters.

When 'Ashes of Deceit' came out on Amazon last week, I grabbed it in a heartbeat.  Alas, but I couldn't set it down and finished it in two days, (sigh)  and now I'll have to wait for Book Five due out this winter.  Joleene!  Write faster!!!!

I first heard of Joleene when a writer friend mentioned that Joleene was doing character interviews and suggested that I submit my Geraldina character.  Curious, I went to Joleene's blog, http://joleenenaylor.wordpress.com/ and was disappointed to find out she was one of them.  Yes, another wanna-be vampire author.  I loudly exhaled in disappointment, but was intrigued by her design of her blog.  I looked up some posts and decided she might be different from all the other wanna-be's, so I clicked to follow and submitted my 'An Offer I Must Refuse' where I poke fun at the vampire writers through Geraldina.  Joleene accepted, and what came about was one of the funnest and most creative interviews I had ever done.  Interview with Geraldina Pottwatts  I was so impressed.  What could I do, but check out her first book in the series 'Shades of Gray' on Amazon Kindle:  http://www.amazon.com/Shades-of-Gray-Amaranthine-ebook/dp/B002RHP5D6/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1337628722&sr=1-1  It was 99cents, so how could I go wrong?  Guess what?!  It's still 99cents!

I read it and fell in love with Amaranthine Night, so of course, I purchased the other two books,
'Ties of Blood' and 'Legacy of Ghosts' Joleene Naylor on Amazon.  I couldn't stop reading them, so I lent them to my husband.  He loved the series.  I talked my daughter-in-law, Ange, and my son, James, into reading them.  Needless to say, we've become huge fans.

'Ashes of Deceit' far exceeds my expecations, although one of my favorite vampires dies.

Joleene is a gifted writer, for sure, but she also makes her own covers, has published  a book on 'How to Get a Cheap Book Cover' for $1.50 on Smashwords (thank you very much for this, Joleene):  http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/25363, plus booklets on the various vampires in her bookshttp://www.smashwords.com/books/search?query=joleene+naylor

She also can do book covers for others when time permits for a small fee:  Cover Art by Joleene Naylor.

Why Do I Love These Books?

I like to read well-written books, and Joleene's are well-written.
Her stories go beyond vampirism to intricate emotions and love as we all wish we could find.
She has extensively researched various sources on the legends of vampires, making these stories so realistic, you'd think there was a coven living next door to you.

I just can't give any plots away, because there are still people who haven't read any of her books.  Unbelievable, I know.  The books do center around Jorick and Katelina, for the most part.  Jorick is a vampire and quite old too, in human terms.  Katelina, unluckily, got pulled into the world of vampires, not through her doing.  Their tender love story is remarkable, when they're not dealing with the dangerous world of vampires and vampiric wars.

I encourage any adult to read this books.  However, if you're sensitive to blood and gore, there's plenty in these pages.  It is indeed a rare day when you'll get me to read a book or watch a movie with blood and gore, but I can't help but read her works.  I'm totally hypnotized by the stories and the characters.  Wait!  Can't some vampires hypnotize...

I foresee action packed top grossing movies being made from these books.

Best part of all, Joleene is one of the most intelligent, nicest, kindest people I've ever met.  Get to know her by visiting her blog and following.  She is an exceptional writer.

A Deal For My Readers

Leave a comment and let me know if you'd like to read the Kindle version of the 1st book, 'Shades of Gray.'  Two of my readers will win this book from me (I'm not sure if Kindle will let me gift it for outside of Canada and the US, but I can sure try).  There is a catch.  After you read it, please do a review of some sort on the book.

Joleene Naylor, author of the century, you deserve every award given to authors.  Success starts small, but you are on your way.

Sharon, I'm so sorry you don't have a Kindle. I think you can download the app for free from Amazon, but it does go on your computer or iphone. Thank you for your comment. Believe me, Joleene deserves it.
