The Twelve Gifts from God

I decided not to post everyday. It just isn't my thing, and it's a little unfair to my friends as we all enter the most busy week - the week before Christmas.

So instead, I am doing the 12 Gifts from God all on the blog today. It doesn't matter what name you give your Higher Power. I am partial to God or Universe or The Other Side. What really matters is that we recognize such a force and that we are powerless by ourselves. If you are someone who doesn't believe in a Higher Power, please just accept that I do.

Here's the best part of this, if you click to follow my blog or already do follow it, and leave a comment, you will go in a drawing for 1 of my homemade ornaments. 5 lucky people will win one each. Please keep in mind, you may not get them in time for Christmas. My give-away runs through today Sat Dec 16, 2011 thru Monday night - Mon Dec 18, 2011. I haven't decided which yet. I'd show you some more pics of them but let's just say Google isn't allowing them unless...

This is because of a wonderful year of blogging to my friends, and watching my blog grow in followers. It is my way to thank you. Good luck to all of you, my friends and new friends.
On with the 12 gifts from God.

The 1st gift from God was to fill my heart with love so I could find my earth partner and hubby of many years.

God gave me a gift of 2 when He sent my son for me to love too.

God increased my loving family members to 3 when He sent my daughter-in-law.

God gave me the gift of 4 in my family growing up, and now in our home.

God gave me the gift of 5 exactly: 5 ft tall.

God gave me the gift of living in 6 states: Ohio, Illinois, Idaho, California, Hawaii, and Utah

The gift of the 7th, God gave to me for I was born in the 7th month, the month of July, making me a Cancer. I love my water sign.

God helped me find 8 of my cousins on Facebook! Tammy, Anita, Becki, Sanny, Patsy, Fran, and Joe and Maryann. Truly a blessing.

God blessed our home with 9 dogs throughout the years and 1 cat who ruled 8 of them: PJ, Laddie, Bandit, Max, Shadow, Ginger, Patch, and Dodger watched over by Kitty.

God has blessed me with the joy of laughter from my friends who have a great sense of humor, 10 of whom are named here: Beth, Bonnie R, Cassie, Carol M, Claudia, Nessa, Eve, Elizabeth, Roger, and Graeme.

God blessed me with many online friends who are kind, honest, and thoughtful and understand a different side of me. Here are 11 of my favs: Barbara, Joleene, Carol S, Melinda, Christina, Dora Dee, Mike, Mark, Rodney, Michele, and Shiv

God gave me the best of gifts - keys - to survive upon the earth - 12 great ones: intelligence, compassion, creativity, independence, stubbornness, tears to water the earth, humor, curiosity, so many talents, family and friends who love me, scruples, and a closeness with Him that gets me through my earthly life.

Have you thought of doing your 12 gifts from the Universe?

I dedicate this blog to my loving God and to all those who know me and love me for who I am.

Don't forget to click follow and comment.

LHR, dear friends, and remember PAWS.

I've been working on my 12 Reasons I love Christmas Blog and it will post soon. My FB friend and fellow Blogger, Jay at Writer on Fire inspired me with his 12 Things He Hates About Christmas Blog, which was hilarious and way over the top!

Thank you Donna. I am truly blessed that I am one of your gifts. You have certainly been one of mine. I have a lot to be thankful too. A year ago I never would have thought that I'd have the confidence to be where I am today. I too thank God of the many online friends I have been privileged to know. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
