Hodge Podge of Events

Well, It's been awhile since I've blogged.  Recently I read an article that said you should blog every day.  Sorry, but that's a big load of...  Not only for the blogger, but for the followers.  Time is short for all of us these days as we try to fit everything we can in one day.  Blogging should be when you have something you want to share, however often that is.

As a blogger, I must admit I have been remiss in certain areas.  Some of my friends have spotlighted people.  I will start that too.  I know just who I want to spotlight first.  He is a writer and artist who loves Sci Fi, but is pretty quiet on websites and blogs.  I also have not done book reviews.  Sorry, author-friends.  My problem is I write terrible reviews.  Something like:  'C.S Lewis's book 'Narnia' was pretty good.  I liked most of the characters.  I liked all of the stories.  He seems to be a good writer.  You should read it sometime.'

But I won't get better if I don't try.  So I will begin to do Book Reviews.

I also have my next round of guest bloggers set up.  I think you will enjoy them.  In the meantime, I was priviledged to guest blog on two other blogs:
The Gentle Heart of a Poet   This blog belongs to my dear friend Florence Fois, a writer of New York life.  Her stories are quite interesting.
And:  http://threehoodies.blogspot.com/2011/07/my-first-guest-blogger.html by my friend Roger Lawrence.  Roger has a wonderful sense of humor in his writings.
I want to thank both Florence and Roger for the opportunity to guest blog.  If you aren't following these two blogs, well, you just should.  I love discovering new fun authors, and these two certainly write some fun blogs.

My life is still crazy with personal things going on.  I will tell you, I am attending Nami classes once a week.  A couple of family members, whom I love dearly, have been diagnosed with mental health issues.  Along my Italian grandmother's line runs some depression, anxiety, bipolar, panic attacks.  I've dealt with some of these my whole life, so I was saddened to find another member diagnosed.  Nami is a wonderful organization, set up to help people understand and cope with mental illness.  Check them out.  If you or a family member suffer from a serious mental health issue, give them a call.  They are understanding and helpful.  Nami.org  Needless to say, this is time consuming, but well worth the time.

I also have a dear cyber friend who is quite ill, and yes I worry about her.  I want her to be better, so I am burning a pink healing candle for her every day.   My prayer for you, dear April, is that your health will return to you and you will be well.

When I can, I continue to edit, revise, and correct my novel and poetry in preparation of e-publishing.  You may have noticed my writing and poetry posts are gone.  Well, they are changing and evolving for the better, so I deleted them from here while I make needed corrections.

Needless to say, I've been a tad frustrated.

Which brings about my temper.  I have to say, normally I am a sweet caring person who loves using positive re-enforcement.  But I have a side to me that shouldn't be challenged.  As if I am not busy enough, and trying to find stability in my life, I ordered a locket for my birthday.  As many of you know I have health issues (yes, mental and physical health issues).  One in particular can be most frightening and can go on for hours - I have had it last over 12 hrs, and that's Meniere's.  A very mean illness.  Anyway, I now wear a medallion of the Archangel Raphael.  It gives me great comfort when I'm in the throes of an illness holding it; plus plenty of prayers.  So I decided I also wanted a medallion of Jesus holding a lamb too.  With every thing going on, I received my medallion - the wrong one.  It was of Mary holding the dead body of Jesus.  Maybe in the future, I'll see the humor in this; but not yesterday.  I went ballistic on this company.  They are trying to work this out (peacefully) with me.  As many of you know, I am not religious, but spiritual, so please don't think I'm going to head into some tirade about religion or Christianity; because I also talk to Kwan Yin, Ganesh, Buddha and Bo Dai.  I accept all good paths as the right path which can bring peace and happiness.

So I am willing to work with this company in the hopes I re-center myself and not go ballistic again.  Trust me, you don't want to fight with me.  I don't like that side of myself and have tried to contain it, but every once in a while, my monster gets angry and escapes.

These are what is going on in my life right now, so if you don't hear from me for a while, well, now you know why.  All of you mean a lot to me.  I send pink healing love to my two family members and my dear sis, April.  When I meet a friend - in person, on the web, over the phone - that person is included in my eternal family circle, and I am honored by that friendship.  When we get off our paths, things go awry.  Happiness brings me back to the realization of who I am and where I am going.  So, let's all use love, honor and respect and 'be happy.'

I hope you get everything worked out with the company! Stress only makes things worse.

Be strong with the other stuff. It will come.

Wow, I know you have a lot going on in your life, Donna...but, you have to remember yourself first. I forget that too, as you may well know already. But, I have to start remembering as well.

I hope you will put your poetry and stuff back up...I may not be into poetry as much, but there are others who would be, and should read it. You've written poems for many of our friends. I hope you continue. (hug)

Jennifer, thank you for your comment. Alas, I'm a poet so I'm not always strong.

Every once in awhile, the angry monster needs to escape!

You really are busy! I'd wondered what happened to your writing section here.

A good blog as always. Thanks for the complimentary words. Coming from a family tree dotted with deep-seated mental health issues I know how saddening the news of another family member being attacked is.

Roger, how sad to find out how many families are affected by this. Thank you for your comments. As for the compliment, you deserve to be known. Your writing always puts a smile on my face.
